  • Developing workable systems for inventory, receiving and product utilization(production cost).
  • Developing standards of productivity for food & beverage personnel.
  • Implementing effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
  • Ensuring that implementation and maintenance of our standards of service and quality are maintained and consistent with our commitment to excellence.
  • Creating and facilitating departmental service  and procedural training.
  • Collaborating with Executive Chef and DOC to create high quality, marketable cycle menus and special event menus. 
  • Maintaining complete knowledge of and complying with all hotel/departmental policies and procedures, including our safety standards and ensuring that F&B staff are informed and adhering to all standards as well.
  • Overseeing weekly forecasting and payroll for the department.
  • Motivating food and beverage staff and maintaining a cohesive team.

  • Maintaining a good working relationship with all departments. 

Director of Employer Relations, University Career Services, St. John’s University, Queens

Duties:

  • Assist Executive Director, Sr. Director of Employer Relations, and Dean of the college in setting Employment Development Plans.
  • According to priorities set out in the employment development plans: generate interest, develop and maintain relationships with employers from the private, public, and non-profit sectors for campus recruiting, internships, posting positions, panels, special programs, etc.
  • Collaborate with other units, including but not limited to, academic deans, Institutional Advancement, Athletics Department, and Alumni Relations to maintain and enrich existing relationships and develop new partnerships for potential internship and job opportunities.
  • Perform extensive external outreach to organizations to enhance pre-and post-graduate opportunities for students, including designing an outreach strategy and assistance with creation of marketing collateral and materials needed to expand the recruiting program.
  • Acquire and maintain an intimate knowledge of the college’s programs and pedagogy.
  • As point of contact for the Dean of the college, work closely with faculty, departments, student groups, and alumni to design and/or present career related programming, events, special projects, and to communicate various career services initiatives.
  • Facilitate advanced career development workshops or programs for target student and alumni populations.
  • Leverage alumni base in support of expanded internship and career opportunities for students.
  • Utilize technology to meet student and employer needs in recruitment and placement.
  • Represent the office in a variety of University, community, and other networking events.

Senior Manager, Security and Life Safety, Canon USA, Melville

Duties:

  • Creates the security policy and provides the related security support for Canon USA’s owned and leased corporate office locations, distribution centers, and service centers across the US. Responsible for publishing security standards and policies for these locations, ensuring that both overt and covert tests and audits occur at desired frequency, providing guidance, training and counsel to our Facility Security Contacts at these locations.
  • Serves as Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Canon USA, and creates, establishes, implements and verifies compliance with security procedures, physical security design standards and policies and ensure that all comply with our IT and Physical Security Policies and support the goals of our facility team while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of security at our facilities. This includes leveraging technology and systems to create processes and support systems that are sustainable and scalable. These systems and processes should enable the local and regional security and site managers to draw services from the Corporate Security team in an automated fashion whenever possible. The Senior Manager should have the following competencies:
  • Drafts Scopes of Work, Project Bidding Packages and Project Budgets.
  • Compiles and/or coordinate the final Test and Acceptance of site security systems.
  • Identifies and prequalifies Security Integrators across the US.
  • Establishes and implements effective, predictable and measurable procedures/processes.
  • Works with supervisors and internal customers to establish, provide and agree on clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes and timelines.
  • Builds and deploys security training programs.
  • Coordinates with various support teams such as the Global Security Team, IT Security, Network Engineering, and Customer Service Teams.
  • Provides leadership and direction to a team consisting of full-time employees and contracted third party resources with responsibility for site security, health and safety.
  • Serves as primary responsible party for all executive and personnel protection matters, including high profile individuals and guests as needed.
  • Works effectively as part of the General Affairs management team in reducing risk and liability at all CUSA facilities through a deep understanding of operational needs and exposures and the application of best practices for safety and risk mitigation.

Director of Institutional Advancement, Helen  Keller Services for The Blind, Sands Point

Duties:

  • Work with executive and management staff to identify funding needs of the organization and to assist them in developing program goals, articulating those goals and funding needs to potential funders.
  • Research institutional donors, foundations, corporations and external prospective collaborations and implement a strategy to cultivate funder that support the agency's "Invest to Grow" strategic initiatives.
  • Share information about grant opportunities, restrictions, timelines, with staff and other internal stakeholders.
  • Develop proposals and coordinate foundations and corporations with the Chief Development Officer and other Development Office staff and other internal stakeholders.
  • Develop events, site visits, and other campaigns with corporations to advance philanthropic efforts and fundraising goals.
  • With the Chief Development Officer, prepare annual fundraising plans and targets for institutional fundraising and the budget.
  • Keep up-to-date and inform appropriate staff of compliance issues such as registrations with government entities.
  • Responsible for other duties as may be assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor and/or the HKSB President & CEO.
  • Responsible for program and/or project budgets.
  • Responsible for the development of budgets in accordance with the strategic parameters set forth by HKSB and accountable for meeting financial expectations for the programs/departments under his/her control.
  • Accountable for achieving program goals in a cost-effective and efficient manner to meet or exceed budget expectations.
