Human Resources Specialist, NPD, Port Washington

Duties:
  • Advise and educate employees on HR policies and practices such as employment law, performance management, full-cycle recruiting, compensation, benefits and HR transactions.
  • Provide support to employees and managers throughout the performance management process.
  • Support the Human Resources director with the management, facilitation and roll-out of key Human Resources initiatives such as the annual pay and performance process, employee survey and objective setting.
  • Collaborates with recruiting team to ensure that NPD selects employees who will best meet business unit and departmental needs.
  • Conducts investigations for employment-related claims with guidance from the human resources director.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Provides consultation and support to managers on employee relations issues and applicable company policies and employment laws.
  • Serves as an advocate on behalf of employees or a specific team or department within the business unit.
  • Solicits and listens to employees' concerns, and takes an active role in resolving problems.
  • Provides information, or facilitates employees' ability to obtain information, about benefits, compensation, training and other Human Resources programs and services.
  • Supports implementation of Human Resources strategic plans, tactics programs for client business units, departments and regions.
  • Identify learning and development needs within the business and partner with the HR and Learning and Development Directors to develop strategy.
  • Provide support on selected issues by conducting research and analysis as needed, and prepare reports and create presentations.
  • Maintain HR records and update database.

Executive Assistant, Marketing and Communicating, Mount Sinai, Queens

  • Writes and manages production of six issues of Inside Queens, the bimonthly internal newsletter
  • Writes monthly advertorial for the NY Daily News, coordinating the health topic with an advertisement
  • Working with the Agency of Record manages implementation of the media plan
  • Collaborates with the Mount Sinai Press Office to compose and distribute media advisories and press releases
  • Assists in planning and executing annual special events, including all marketing and press: four Quarterly Conferences of the Medical Staff, four staff Town Halls, Anniversary event, two Blood Drives, Health Fair, and more
  • Executes strategic and tactical marketing plans and initiatives with direction from the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications
  • Works synergistically with other departments, e.g. social media department, to promote and build awareness of Mount Sinai Queens activities and events, coordinating a consistent message throughout
  • Works collaboratively with Mount Sinai Queens staff and Mount Sinai corporate marketing and communications staff, and chosen vendors, to develop and implement the organization’s marketing materials, both in print and on the web
  • Writes, edits, and traffics various editorial projects with help from the agency and/or the department head
  • Chief fact checker and proofreader for all ads, marketing, and press materials
  • Maintain senior director’s calendar and contacts
  • Maintain marketing signage inside and outside the Hospital
  • Performs the essential functions of the position, and other responsibilities and projects as may be assigned by the director

  • Own all aspects of Panelist Incentives and the Panelist Value Proposition for the National Consumer Panel.
  • With the Director of Operations create/execute a 3 year Panelist Incentive strategy
  • Maintain and manage current incentive program including daily Panelist gift inquiries, weekly vendor invoicing and ongoing program changes
  • Define and manage Key Performance Indicators for use in evaluating and enhancing the Panelist Value Proposition campaign
  • Optimize panelist incentive campaigns - vendor and technique mix
  • Propose and manage the annual Panelist incentive budget, ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual budget/performance targets are met 
  • Identify/consult with new vendors regarding campaign design to optimize member involvement
  • Monitor competition and industry trends.  Leverage learning’s to enhance NCP’s Panelist Value Proposition

Director of Operations, Parent Resource Center, Port Washington

  • Manages the PRC’s day-to-day operations of the center and is responsible for carrying out the directives of the Board.  
  • Manages  the staff  
  • Contracts with instructors
  • Ensures the administration of the office is efficient and helpful to members
