La Pace Shuts it Doors

The beloved restaurant in Glen Cove is closed for business after 30 years.

La Pace with Chef Michael, a beloved Glen Cove restaurant, has shut its doors.

Known for its elegance and individual customer service led by Chef Michael Mossallam, the Italian restaurant had a following in and around Glen Cove for more than 30 years.

The former executive chef of the North Hempstead County Club in Port Washington, Mossallam purchased the restaurant from its founder Angelo Ventrella in 2005, according to Newsday.

For many, the restaurant was the place to share special memories with family and friends. Glen Cove residents celebrated birthdays, graduations, engagements and other occasions at La Pace.

The restaurant’s telephone is not in service, and its website is available. As of Thursday afternoon, however, the La Pace menu was still visible online on Zagat.

Patch was unable to reach Mossallam, who according to Newsday, now works at Brookville Country Club in Old Brookville.
