Mayor: 'I Need Your Voices'
Suozzi urged community to let hospital, government officials know why services at Glen Cove Hospital are critical to North Shore.
Glen Cove Mayor Ralph Suozzi addressed a crowd of nearly 200 outside of Glen Cove Hospital on Monday at a rally to maintain services there.
North Shore-LIJ said recently that that operations are “unsustainable,” and plans to phase out in-patient beds in 2014. The hospital also plans to expand ambulatory surgery center, medical offices, outpatient cancer services, a community health and outreach center, and physical therapy and rehabilitation.
