Orthopaedic Associates of Great Neck, which has offices in Great Neck and Glen Cove, has joined the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
The move boosts the number of full-time orthopedists across the network to 42, which the health system says is the largest and most-comprehensive group in the region.
Orthopaedic Associates, which opened in 1998, features five full-time doctors, with offices at 825 Northern Blvd. in Great Neck and 10 Medical Plaza in Glen Cove.
The specialists – Steven M. Erlanger, MD, Jay Nathan, MD, Barry G. Simonson, MD, Joshua N. Steinvurzel, MD, and Baruch Toledano, MD – treat nearly 25,000 patients a year.
“The physicians at Orthopedic Associates of Great Neck have been providing quality and personalized care to the area for 25 years and practicing as a group for 15 years,” Simonson said, in a statement. “The five surgeons in the practice bring a broad range of talent and expertise to the North Shore-LIJ Health System.”
The group offers a wide range of treatment for bone or joint problems, including arthroscopic and replacement surgery.
Nicholas Sgaglione, MD, who chairs the department of orthopedic surgery at the North Shore-LIJ Health System, said the move "strengthens the orthopedic care offered across the health system.”
