Poll: Healthy Eating in Glen Cove

Are you satisfied with the low-calorie landscape?

Glen Cove Hospital is one of seven in the North Shore LIJ Healthcare System to collect healthier items for the region's food pantries, a program started by Suffolk County Legislator William Spencer, M.D. with a major goal being to help raise the public's awareness of nutritional choices.

"Many conditions are caused by poor choices," said Spencer as he rolled out the program at Huntington Hospital Tuesday, focusing on the booming numbers of diabetes diagnoses in the region and the country. 

Marking National Nutrition Month, and also to raise awareness, Glen Cove Hospital  in March between chefs representing each North Shore LIJ Hospital who were tasked with creating delicious meals that were as good for you as they were to enjoy.
