Décor for the Abode: Stupendous NCRT Yard Sale New and Pre-Owned Items

The largest yard and furniture sale on the Gold Coast of Long Island this Sunday.

There is upon us the one-of-a-kind yard sale held at , http://www.ncrt.org/ in Glen Cove, NY. The largest yard and furniture sale on the Gold Coast of Long Island, this has become an annual anticipated event being held this year on Sunday, August 7, starting at 9 a.m., and ending at 4 p.m.

There is a treasure trove of generously donated fabulous merchandise and furniture to be found for decorating the abode. Among the many items are sofas and loveseats, chairs, accessories, art, other furnishings, and work out equipment. You can find some brand new clothing items, donated from a big name showroom, to garnish your body. Call 516-671-4760 for more detailed information.

After you are finished with your purchases, take a tour of the Glen Cove area before you head home. On Crescent Beach Road, to the right of New Woods Road (across from the NCRT yard sale), is the Welwyn Preserve,the . This is a 204-acre preserve with four marked trails that wind through beautiful wooded areas right up to the Long Island Sound.

On the preserve property is the former mansion which is now a home For the . This is a great chance to be grateful for all of the beauty to be found in the nature around us and to appreciate that we are living a life of freedom in our society. Pick up a picnic dinner and venture over to nearby in Glen Cove, on Germaine Street, off the western end of Landing Road. Sunday evenings hosts a , starting at 7:30 p.m., on the lawn overlooking the Harbor. 

This will be a full day of shopping, exploring, and music. Finish your day by swapping the hiking boots for dancing shoes. Never be afraid to dance!
