90-Minute Delays on LIRR

Signal problems delay trains on the Oyster Bay LIRR branch through Glen Cove.

Signal problems caused nearly 90-minute delays on the Oyster Bay LIRR branch Wednesday.

Service between Mineola and Oyster Bay LIRR stations was temporarily suspended after reports of signal trouble at Locust Valley.

Service was reportedly restored at around 10:20 Wednesday, according to LIRR. Commuters can expect delays of up to 90 minutes.

Is there ever a day where the LIRR doesn't have any problems? Besides having to wait a minimum of 30-40 minutes to get a train to LV from Penn after I get off of work and the fact that they have one express train (and my commute in to Penn takes upwards of an hour in the morning). And the fact that I have to change trains twice a day and the fares are ridiculous. Now they have signal problems. Ugh. If I didn't have to take the train every weekday I wouldn't.
