Here's what's on deck today in Glen Cove:

1. Today marks the 70th Anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. On Dec. 7. 1971, the United States was attacked by the Empire of Japan in order to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from interfering with their military actions. How will you be commemorating the day? 2. The is hosting a lecture on the media technology revolution today at 1:30 p.m. The program, which is entitled: “From Teletype to Twitter: The Media Revolution” is led by award-winning journalist, Shelly Strickler.

5. The Bards Initiative is hosting a at tonight at 7:30 p.m. The featured poet plays lead guitar, and is the singer and songwriter for Indie band, We Are Fireflies: An Incandescent Firefly. Open reading sign-up is at 7:30 p.m. Feature starts at 8 p.m., followed by open reading at the end.
