Envelope Please! Local Patch 'Deck the House' Finalist

Glen Cove's Deborah Schneider-Skvarla is representing!

Thank you, Deborah Schneider-Skvarla, for submitting the entry of your decorated home in the Patch Deck the House contest. You're the Glen Cove local winner!

Tonight we'll find out if you are among the 24 National Finalists—fingers crossed. Each Top 24 Finalist is guaranteed $500 to help pay those holiday-sized electric bills and a shot at winning a $100,000 donation for the public school district.

A special thank you to everyone who entered. You made our dark drives home more festive and "oooh-worthy" this holiday season.

National voting begins Friday morning, Dec. 30, at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Vote once a day, every day, for your favorite — and feel free to share the link on all your social networks!

Voting ends at midnight ET on Jan. 8.

I put up these photos of mine, which I hope will help Deborah win in the Deck The House Contest as they do such a nice job every year for all of us to enjoy. I believe they really capture their home.

My pleasure, as a photo of the house with a car right in front does not do this home, or the Patch, any justice.

The music device that produces the music you hear in my video are from "The lights and sounds of Christmas", a GE product that is commercially sold in retail outlets. I paid for this product and therefore am entitled to use it my Christmas display. The music was not edited into the video. Furthermore 90% of images and sounds are copy right protected items such as Disney characters, loony tunes and countless others. In 30 thirty years I've never read a 100+ page user agreement of legal mumbo jumbo or know anyone who has. I never heard anyone enforcing it before this. Furthermore it's not legally enforceable. Would you like to spend another 100K to find out? Rest assure it won't cost me a dime. I been doing my display for 40 years and it offers enjoyment and brings smiles to thousands of admirers every year. They couldn't care less, nor do I about your self rightness claim that caused the disqualification Your contest is nothing but a scam to get people sign up to your rinky dink attempt at a news media outlet which I'm sure it's days are numbered. Rest assured I will not be entering this contest the the future or no longer visit your website. You can't steal my Christmas, Glen Cove Patch Scrooge. You should be ashamed of yourself. Un-Happy New Year
