Glen Cove Mansion Shows its Pride

The Glen Cove Mansion Hotel is showing off its true (rainbow) colors, announcing their brand new package designed specifically for same-sex newlyweds.

As hundreds of same-sex couples tied the knot in New York City Sunday, the , located on Dosoris Lane, will continue to showcase its rainbow pride.

Earlier this month, the historic establishment premiered their latest wedding package, designed specifically for newlywed same-sex couples.

"The Glen Cove Mansion has been receiving many inquiries by same-sex couples ever since the new law was enacted," said Ken Ellens, Marketing Director of the Glen Cove Mansion.

The Mansion is celebrating the with a rainbow edition of their "iPad Wedding" announced this past spring, according to a recent news release.

The package is called the "Show Your Pride Wedding." In addition to holding their celebration on the storied grounds of the Pratt family, the Mansion is providing each LGBT couple who books a wedding with 125 guests or more ($150 per person) with a new iPad 2 outfitted with a rainbow case and loaded with their wedding photos.

Additionally, the Mansion is waiving the ceremony fee and including butler-style champagne at the event (either ceremony or reception), according to the release.

The package also includes complimentary overnight accommodations for each LGBT couple’s first anniversary in 2012.

“We are one of the very few, and largest, mansions on Long Island for weddings and hotels, which is very unique,” said Ellens, adding that the Glen Cove Mansion can comfortably house wedding guests of the couple.
