“No one wants to stay home by themselves,” said Rogers. “We love this place, so here we are.”

Resident Matthew said he likes having the comradery of being around other Jets fans.

“I just wanted to get out and see people,” he said. As a devout fan, he made a bold prediction early on in the game.

“The Jets will probably win by three points,” he said.

Although the Jets did not have their best start, Matthew kept the night positive, saying he would not be disappointed if they lost.

“This is the furthest they’ve been in my lifetime,” he said. “This is the proudest I’ve ever been.

At Hunter's Grill, a few families wearing green attire ate dinner while watching the game on a 12-foot screen. Green lights poured over the bar and restaurant in support of the Jets.

Resident Raphael had only one thing to say about his having his Rib Eye steak while watching the game: “It’s a great combination.”

The mood was tensing up at by the end of the third quarter. The establishment held the biggest crowd seen all night.

“I’m a huge Jets fan,” said resident Bryan Bianconi, who watched the game from the bar with a couple close friends.

“I’m very happy they’re in the playoffs right now. I really hope they win. It’s close, but I believe they can do it.”

When it was evident in the fourth quarter that the Jets could not pull through, the bar cleared out almost immediately.

Bianconi said the team was a little too slow in the first half.

“If they would have started off the way they did in the second half, I think they could’ve had the game,” he said. “I guess there’s always next year.”
