Navy to Reimburse Bethpage Water Customers

The U.S. Navy has offered a settlement that would reimburse the Bethpage Water District (BWD) for all the money it has spent on equipment and treatment plants to purify drinking water contaminated by the Bethpage plume. The agreement also calls for the Navy to pay for 30 years of operating costs, U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer announced Thursday.

College Lacrosse Teams to Battle in Bethpage

The Town of Oyster Bay will host the Battle at Bethpage III, a college lacrosse celebration slated to be held at Bethpage High School on Saturday, April 6. The event will feature two outstanding games, a women’s matchup between the LIU Post Pioneers and the Merrimack College Ultimate Warriors at 10 a.m. and a men’s contest between the St. John’s University Red Storm and the Georgetown Hoyas at 2 p.m., Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto announced

Doctor, TV Mob Wife Host Cosmetic Surgery Show

Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg, a nationally recognized cosmetic plastic surgeon based in New York, was joined by reality TV star Ramona Rizzo of the VH-1 hit "Mob Wives" last week for his annual Cosmetic Surgery Fashion Show and Coming Out Party. The event, held at Carlyle at the Palace in Plainview, marked the 10th anniversary of Dr. Greenberg's patients' strut down the runway.
