Party Leads to Social Host Law Charge

Glen Cove man arrested after police find underage drinking at Jackson Street home.

A 41-year-old man was arrested April 7 after officers responded to a report of a loud party on Jackson Street, according to Glen Cove Police.

"Officers responded and observed what appeared to be underage youths in and around the residence. It was determined at the scene that alcohol was being consumed inside the residence by underage youths," said police spokesman Lt. John Nagle.

The homeowner was present during the party and was uncooperative, Nagle said. He was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree unlawful dealing with a child, obstructing governmental administration and the City's social host law.
