Tell Us: Picking a Future Coliseum

County officials have heard several proposals on the Coliseum's future. What do you think of them?

As the Nassau Coliseum faces a future without the New York Islanders, officials got a glimpse of several popular future arenas in Uniondale.

County Executive Ed Mangano heard four presentations this week from potential developers.

The Madison Square Garden Company made a $250 million proposal for a 14,500 seat arena. They are considering bringing the WNBA's New York Liberty, the New York Knicks developmental league affiliate and the New York Rangers minor league team to Nassau County.

Bruce Ratner, who developed the Islanders future home at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, reportedly made a proposal for a $229 million 13,000 seat arena which would also play host to a minor league hockey team and have the Isles returning for up to six games a season.

Both plans would also include entertainment and retail options.

Bayville developer Bernard Shereck submitted a sub-$100 million design and Syosset developer Ed Blumenfeld’s  came up with a $180 million design.

We want to know what you think of these proposals. Which, if any, do you like the best?
