VIDEO: First Annual Glen Cove Community Unity Game

Staffs of facilities for young and old meet on the court.

The 's staff hosted the first annual Community Unity game against staff members of The Regency at Glen Cove, an adult care facility, on Thursday.

The game is intended to promote unity, community awareness and cooperation.

"We were at a fair here and we saw the gym and thought it would be a great idea to come together for something," said Amitai Dagan, director of sales and marketing at the .

The competition was a close one throughout, up until the final minutes, when the Boys and Girls Club gained a sizeable lead to seal a 53-43 victory.

"It was a lot of fun," Dagan said of the game. "For next time, I think we can win, we'll just need to get some practice in."
