Voters OK $2.7 Million Library Budget

This week's City Notebook includes library budget and elections, Youth Bureau internships and Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club youths of the month.

Voters okayed a budget of 2.7 million on Tuesday for the 2011-12 fiscal year, 2.5 percent increase from last year.

The library asked for what they called a "modest" increase from the 2010-11 budget of $2,650,500 because of "rising costs, including the new MTA tax," a library spokesperson said.
