Glen Cove EMS Installs New Chiefs And Officers

On Saturday January 18th 2014 the City of Glen Cove Emergency Medical Services held their annual installation dinner at the Sea Cliff Manor. The event was well attended by the membership of EMS, city officials and neighboring fire departments. EMS Ex-Chief Anthony Jimenez was the emcee for the dinner and oversaw the swearing in. Incoming Chief of Department Thomas A. Kenary Jr. addressed the crowd with words of wisdom. Chief Kenary explained that EMS has some challenges ahead but the incoming Chiefs and Officers will be up for the task and will excel the department into the future. The healthcare and EMS fields are constantly evolving and EMS is forced to adopt to those changes. City of Glen Cove Mayor Reginald Spinello then addressed the crowd before administering the Oath of Office to 3 Chiefs and 15 Officers. These volunteer members are responsible for the administration, finances, management and day-to-day operations of the EMS department.
