November is Diabetes Awareness Month! Sonia Rivera-Martinez, DO, comes to the Glen Cove Library to speak about the onset of diabetes, living a healthy lifestyle if you have diabetes and how to prevent diabetic complications. Learn the signs and symptoms of diabetes, how it is diagnosed and the different types of treatment available. Attendees will also learn simple ways to enjoy a healthy diet and the importance of exercise. A question and answer period will follow the lecture.
