Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department Hosts Annual Fire Prevention Open House

On Sunday, October 13, the Glen Cove
Volunteer Fire Department will host its Annual Fire Prevention Open House from
12 to 3 p.m.  Residents of all ages are
encouraged to attend the event for an informative and fun filled afternoon of fire
prevention. 

Attendees can watch several
demonstrations, including
rope rescue, car fire, auto extrication, kitchen stove / oven fire, fire truck
rides, fire hose handling and
learn about practical steps they can take to prevent fires at home.

Presentations on
fire safety and an information table with safety tips, activities for children,
and membership information will be available. In addition to the fire
department the Glen Cove Harbor Patrol, Glen Cove CERT Team and Glen Cove EMS
will also be there. 

Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department is located at 10 Glen
Cove Avenue.
