Nassau County ALS Support Group

The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter serves people living with ALS, as well as their family, friends, and caregivers.  The Chapter hosts two support groups on Long Island, including this one in Nassau County.

Our support groups allow you to share your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment with other people impacted by ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.  Each month we enlist experts in various disciplines and allow for frank, open discussion, which can provide emotional and practical support to help you cope.

The Nassau County support group meets the first Sunday of each month at North Shore LIJ - Plainview Hospital, 888 Old Country Road, Plainview. Downstairs.

This month's topic is The Long Island Walk to Defeat ALS. The guest speaker is Kristen Cocoman, Greater NY Chapter.
