Pink Tulip Bulb Planting Day

Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi invites residents to join the Glen
Cove Beautification Commission and Glen Cove C.A.R.E.S. on Saturday, October 12th (Rain date – Saturday, October 19th)
for the annual “Garden of Hope” tulip planting.  This health and cancer
awareness project was conceived by the late Terry Petikas, founder of Glen Cove
C.A.R.E.S.   The “Garden of Hope” tulip planting has become an
important annual community event.  Over 1,000 bulbs are planted each fall
so that when the pink tulips bloom in the spring, our community is reminded of
the importance of early detection.

Volunteers should meet in Village Square at 9:30 a.m.  If possible, please don’t forget to bring your
own gardening tools.
