San Patricio Council Knights of Columbus Seeks Toy Donations

Council to give out gifts to needy families on Dec. 22 at St. Patrick's Church.

San Patricio Council of the Knights of Columbus will be giving out toys and providing lunch to poor families in the Glen Cove area on Sunday, Dec. 22.

Following morning mass at St. Patrick's RC Church, Santa Claus will be boarding a Fire Truck provided by the Glen Cove Fire Department and will be paraded from the fire department to the church cafeteria, arriving sometime around 10:30 a.m. Santa will hand out gifts to the 300 families and their children who have already signed up for this event. The number will probably grow closer to 400 by the 22nd.

The council is providing food and entertainment for all those families, in attendance. They are asking for donations to offset the cost of this event or if you would prefer to provide some toys it would be greatly appreciated. We have made contact with Toys for Tots and have asked for their assistance.

The children range in age from infancy to pre-teen. The majority of children are in the 5 years old to 8 years old range, but still there are a lot from 0 to 12 as well.

All donations can be sent to or dropped off at St. Patrick's RC Church, 235 Glen Street, Glen Cove, NY 11542. Mark all gifts and donations San Patricio Council, attention: Uelises Pedroza.
