Glen Cove Chorale to Perform in Washington, D.C.

Community donations are helping fund the trip, that includes a performance at the White House.

The Music Performing Arts Parent Association issued a public "thank you" to Glen Cove for its help in sending members of the High School Select Chorale to Washington, D.C.

The singers will be heading to the Nation's Capital to perform at various memorials including the White House.  Several students sang Christmas Carols in front of Stop & Shop, King Kullen and the Bagel Café this past weekend to raise funds for the trip.

"So many individuals stopped to enjoy the sounds of this special group. All proceeds from donations and a raffle for an IPAD will be given to the group to off set the cost of this trip," the MPAPA said in a statement.

MPAPA is the booster group that supports the Musical Department at the Glen Cove High School. It is not too late to make a personal donation.

If you wish to make a contribution, please make checks payable to MPAPA, Glen Cove High School, Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove, NY  11542 by Dec. 6.
