Club to Host Thanksgiving Dinner Tuesday

The Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club invites community members to annual feast catered by Elegant Affairs.

The Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club will host its twelfth annual Thanksgiving Dinner Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The dinner is open to all families in the community and is an opportunity to "join together and give thanks during the holiday season," the Club said.

Andrea Correale and her team at Elegant Affairs people in years past, according to executive director Melissa Tierney.

Friday is the final day to donate to the Club's Basket Collection, which will provide traditional Thanksgiving meal items to local families in need so that they may prepare their own.

Acceptable items include gift cards to local grocery stores for turkey purchases and non-perishable foods including boxed mashed potatoes, canned vegetables and soups, cranberry sauce, candied yams, stuffing or any other traditional fare.

Items can be dropped off at the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club.

I think the best course of action would be to contact any board member (their emails are listed) andRead More see what he or she has to say about it. That's one source that I would find reliable on this.
