Health for the Holidays at Glen Cove Hospital

Glen Cove Hospital recently turned its auditorium into a winter wonderland for a community health fair to celebrate wellness and good cheer this holiday season.   

The festive event featured holiday music performances, a shopping boutique with local vendors and fun activities for children, including pictures with Santa, free gifts and an arts and crafts ornament-making workshop. 

The hospital’s holiday health fair, staffed by Glen Cove clinicians, offered screenings for adults such as blood pressure, diabetes, pulmonary function and body mass index (BMI) calculations.  

Attendees met with pharmacists to review medications, nutritionists to discuss healthy eating habits and nurses provide free flu shots.  Administrators and members of the hospital’s Advisory Council were on hand to answer questions about new programs at Glen Cove Hospital.
