What is at stake in the 2013 Glen Cove Mayoral Election?

We, the citizens of Glen Cove, are at a critical juncture.  Do we continue down the same road or do we take this opportunity to change course and philosophy?  Here are the facts:  Our City is deteriorating - homes values are plummeting and the City is insolvent.  Empty store fronts, evacuated properties, closed restaurants, businesses suffering, taxes sky-rocketing, quality of life on the brink of disaster, these are the unpleasant truths of the current State of our City.  We can make a difference by voting.  We, as citizens, must step up and do our part by voting on Tuesday, November 5 and make our voices heard.  If we don't, the result is our own fault.

It's time for the tax payers of Glen Cove to have a voice and to change business as usual in Glen Cove.  When one person, or one family, or one party controls year after year, decade after decade, generation after generation, the people suffer; the people have no voice; the people lose their rights; the people lose everything.

Past history is the best predictor of future actions.  Do you want more over development of high density apartment complex projects; do you want developers to profit at our homeowners' expense; do you want the City's leadership to say they are trying to increase revenue while at the same time, they give away the normal tax dollars we should be receiving and give the multi-millionaire developers freebies called "PILOTS", do you want your taxes to increase to pay for the increased populations' needs for municipal services and education; do you want our once beautiful village by the sea to turn into another Queens , Hempstead or Detroit?

I urge you all to VOTE; VOTE with your BRAIN, VOTE with your CHECK BOOK, VOTE with your QUALITY OF LIFE IN MIND.
