Courage, Strength and Fortitude

A Journey from Boyhood to Manhood

This is a story about a young man who is the personification of courage, strength
and fortitude.

As a little boy growing up in Glen Cove, Ken has always been driven by his passion
for the creativity that could be found all around him. From a very young age,
as he held that very first crayon in his hands, I knew he was bound for greatness.
Ken would spend hours on end by drawing and doing creative writing in order to
produce some of the finest original comic book series I have ever seen. Not
only is Ken an amazing artist and writer but he is also very versatile with his
computer skills. I would watch him as his fingers would glide across the keyboards
as if in a dance. To this day I will run to him when I am uncertain about any
of my own computer queries.

As a grade school student, Ken attended , which is located right here in Glen
Cove. He then moved up, attending Holy Trinity High School, where he was one of
the highest academic achievers there. He made the “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” three times running.

He won many achievement awards and was also awarded scholarships to further his education.

On Ken’s very first day his junior year at Holy Trinity, trauma and tragedy struck our family: 9/11 took his father away from us! Ken and I went through and continue to go through pain and heartache with the loss we’ve had to endure.

It took a while for Ken to move forward but by the Grace of God he found the courage, strength and fortitude he needed to continue living his life and he continues to do so with a strong sense of pride and reverence in honor of his father.

Ken then graduated from Holy Trinity in 2003. Ken became a graduate of C.W. Post, Long Island University, where he specialized in English and Film in 2007. In 2010, he attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Westbury, New York, where he became well versed in broadcasting techniques. However, after graduating, his focus became solely filming and editing. June of this year, 2011, he decided to become a freelance videographer and establish his own video production company, Ken Lehman Productions, which he is still in the process of building to this day in his hometown of Glen Cove. Ultimately, his total commitment and dedication to his passion has made him a highly skilled videographer with the ability to create many “memory masterpieces.” Ken’s creative passion continues to grow every day and it shows so brightly in everything he sets out to do. His father would be so proud. As a matter of fact, I know he is because I am, too!
