Family of Nunzio Izzo to Police, Community: Thank You

Izzo's family submitted a Letter to the Editor expressing their gratitude to those who aided and supported them through their ordeal.

Editor's Note: The following was submitted as a Letter to the Editor concerning the tragic death of Glen Cove resident Nunzio Izzo in December.

To the Editor,

More than month has passed since our beloved son, brother, uncle and brother-in-law, Nunzio Izzo, was murdered. I would like to thank the community of Glen Cove, Mayor Ralph Suozzi and his administration, the Glen Cove Police Department including Lt. Det. [John] Nagle, most especially Detectives [Karl] Van Allen and [Christopher] Albin, and Nassau County Detective [Robert] Nardo. Together they all worked long and hard to help solve this senseless crime. They should all be congratulated for outstanding work on this case.

Words cannot describe the outpouring of love and support from our relatives, friends, and the entire community of Glen Cove. We have suffered a tragic loss that can never be replaced and will never be forgotten.

On behalf of my wife, myself and my family and the entire Izzo family I want to thank everyone for their love and support and may God continue to bless you.

Sincerely,
Anthony Bocchino

I think the best course of action would be to contact any board member (their emails are listed) andRead More see what he or she has to say about it. That's one source that I would find reliable on this.
