Is Mayor Suozzi going after the deepest pockets??

I couldn't help but notice all the Glen Cove Dept. of Public Works staff working all day the last two Saturdays and late into the evening several times this past week on Franklin Ave. and Highland Road. There were long days of fixing a sidewalk that could have been done on the day shift and evening road painting, causing a traffic hazard. Is this another election year tactic? I can't imagine how much $overtime$ this cost the City! Perhaps if Mayor Suozzi had saved, on what I perceive as an extravagant expense (the overtime) in our troubled fiscal time, he wouldn't have had to sue the Glen Cove Hospital to cover the cost of a water well. From what I am reading in the Gold Coast Gazette newspaper and quoted from documents filed with the Nassau County Clerk, it seems that Mayor Suozzi, all by himself, is trying hard to go after the "deepest pockets." Where's the proof that the hospital contaminated anything? Did the City Council OK this litigation? Doesn't seem so! When is Mayor Suozzi going to realize that the Glen Cove Hospital is the largest employment agency in the community?? Perhaps this lawsuit does have something to do with the hospital pulling out in-patient beds. I can't help but feel that there is a connection somehow! Nothing like biting the hand that feed you!
