Mayor says Verizons offer not good enough.

At the last city council meeting with Verizon. The Cablevision attorney and the mayor elect said they wanted a level playing field between the two companies t.v. franchise agreements. The council couldn't come to a unanimous decision and the vote was tabled. The cities attorney has since said as far as he sees it the agreements are fair and comparable.
Now The mayor is saying he doesn't think Verizons offer is good enough and will meet later this month with Verizon in hopes to get a better one. This is pretty much the same tactic the last mayor tried with them 8 years ago, they walked out and didn't come back till late last year. The cities website even has a Fios update page where you could see what the city was doing in a continual effort to try to get Verizon to come back.
Verizon is here and trying to get the ball rolling. They had said that by Jan 2014 we would have been able to get video in the city if an agreement was reached, that was back in Nov.
Glen Coves residents deserve to have a choice just like the rest of Nassau county.Lets hope the mayor doesn't push them away for another 8 years.
