Thanks To All Who Made Summer Concerts at Morgan Park Possible

An open letter from Morgan Park Summer Music Festival chair Marguerite Suozzi.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and Advisory Council of Morgan Park Summer Music Festival I wish to thank all our financial supporters who have enabled us to present free professional concerts under the stars in beautiful Morgan Park for 53 years. This concert series, held every Sunday and selected Saturdays during July and August, was the most well-received in our long history.

We thank the City of Glen Cove for keeping Morgan Park so beautiful in spite of the storms which have attacked it. The natural amphitheater, which is the seating area in front of our classic stage, overlooks Hempstead Harbor and Long Island Sound. We thank the volunteers of the Glen Cove Auxiliary Police and EMS for providing a secure and safe environment at our concerts.

I wish to personally thank our dedicated team of volunteers who cover every facet of this undertaking from start to finish, a year long commitment. This all volunteer team welcomed our audience who came from near and far to sample the delights of Glen Cove and the North Shore of Long Island.

As our summer nights gradually grow dim earlier, we reflect on all the wonderful people who have helped in so many ways to keep this mission of providing free family oriented professional entertainment alive and well and without the financial aid of tax payer money.

Thank you all.
