What happened to Verizon Fios vote Dec 10?

The nov 26 vote was posponed by Cablevision attorney saying he didnt have enough time to read amended agreement, and Spinello saying Verizon just decided to come in with an agreement and he wants a level playing field.
Ralph has been trying for years to get Verizon to come back to the table after his failed attempt to play hardball with them., Now they are here, agreement on the table, and if passed we may finally have another cable option in Glen Cove as soon as Jan, Feb.
Glen cove is the last large community in Nassau that doesnt have a a Fios agreement.
Seems like Spinello may have some friends over at Cablevision asking him to gum up the works a bit.
These franchise agreemehts are pretty straight forward, I cant seem to understand what the hold up is.

Last Council meeting the mayor said it was tabled because a consensus couldn't be reached by the council members. He also said it's likely that it will wind up in the next mayor's lap.

That is unfortunate, for residents, very fortunate for Cablevision. Seems like the Dolans have friends in the right places in Glen Cove.

The only way a monopoly, like Cablevision in Glen Cove, can ever exist is through cronyism with government. How are more people not outraged at this? Does our government have our best interests in mind?Or do they care more about keeping their buddies at Cablevision happy? In a truly free market, Cablevision and Fios would both have the ability to compete for our business, rather than having one competitor (Cablevision) unfairly prevent the other (Verizon) from offering their service.
