Alert Issued for Missing Glen Head Woman

A 43-year-old woman has gone missing from her Glen Cove home and Nassau police need help finding her.

Gina Kilfoil was last seen at 12:25 a.m. Thursday at 550 Cedar Swamp Road in Glen Head. Kilfoil is described as 5-foot-7, and weighing about 135 pounds. She was wearing a blonde straight medium-length wig, black pants and white sneakers, and carrying a white and brown handbag that had about $5 in cash. 

Nassau police say Kilfoil suffers from schizophrenia and cognitive disorders and is need of medication.

A Silver Alert was issued by Nassau Police early Thursday morning. The program disseminates information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
