Busy Veterans Day for Glen Cove EMS

Rescuing trauma victims was all part of a day's work for volunteers on Friday.

A man lost consciousness at the VFW on Hill Street at approximately 1:04 p.m. Crews administered advanced life support patient care upon arrival, according to Glen Cove EMS. He was then taken to .

Earlier, EMS was dispatched to Valentine Street for a male complaining of weakness. Crews were dispatched to assess his condition and begin medical care.

The help of the Glen Cove Fire Department was requested to remove the patient from the residence, according to EMS. A stokes basket was used to transport him out of the house, and into an ambulance.
