Car Veers Off Brookville Road, Flips

No one was injured in the one-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.

A car traveling northbound on Brookville Rd. in Brookville swerved off of the single-lane road and overturned between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A police officer at the scene said no one was injured in the crash, which involved only one vehicle.

Tire tracks in the mud extended for more than a dozen yards from where the car came to rest in a grove of trees, showing where the vehicle had left the asphault and regained it before leaving the road a last time.

The accident occurred north of the intersection of Brookville Rd. and Fruitledge Rd., near the entrance to Brookville Nature Park.

Traffic was being directed through the scene as a tow truck pulled the car out of the trees.
