City Man Shot Execution-Style in Queens

Police say killer is still at large.

A Glen Cove man was shot five times in the head and killed on a Queens street Saturday morning. The shooter, police said, is still on the loose. 

According to New York City detectives, officers found resident John Giampetruzzi, 41, lying on the ground dead near a parked car after they responded to a shots fired call on the corner of 28th Street and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria around 5 a.m.

Detectives from the city's 114th Precinct are actively investigating the murder, which they said is the second one in the area in just three weeks.
