Cops Seeking Pair who Ripped Off Target at Broadway Mall

Nassau County Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people who they say stole Xbox accessories from Target in the Broadway Mall. 

The robbery took place in Hicksville Sept. 10 about 4:45 p.m. when the man and a woman worked together to pocket the accessories valued at about $390, police said. At that point, the man in black charged the guard and threatened him with physical harm, police said. 

The suspects fled in a black SUV in an unknown direction.

Cops Nab Reckless Motorcyclists on Expressway

Suffolk County Police on Monday arrested seven motorcyclists, including one from Great Neck, from across the region after they tore through the Long Island Expressway, speeding and weaving through traffic for more than 10 exits.

Cops eventually pulled them over on the Farmingville-Medford border, near exit 63, after two motorists called 911 to report he riders' reckless driving on the eastern lane of the highway.

According to police, a highway patrol officer responded and followed the group for 10 exits. When the group reached Exit 63, a second police car pulled in front and stopped the riders.

Edward Gianino, 25, of Farmingdale, Emilio Morales, 28, of Brooklyn, Ian Glass, 20, of Farmingdale, Nicholas Belletti, 28, of Great Neck, Oskar Bucki, 20, of Glendale, David Golaszewski, 20, of Glendale, Victor Dasilva, 33, of Farmingdale were each charged with reckless driving, a misdemeanor.

Cops: Man Arrested for Threat Against Town Hall

North Hempstead’s Town Hall was evacuated for a brief time Wednesday after a Port Washington man became irate that the town was removing trees from his property.

According to detectives, at 10:39 a.m., the Town of North Hempstead 311 call center received a phone call from Michael Olson who was upset that trees were being removed from his property on Revere Road. 

According to police, Olson threatened to respond to Town Hall with a shotgun and shoot the windows out.

As a result of Olson’s actions, the deputy town supervisor ordered the evacuation of Town Hall, temporarily forcing daily business to stop. 

At 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, with the assistance of the Port Washington Police Department, Olson was placed under arrest without incident at his home for making a terroristic threat.
