A disgruntled vendor opened fire at Savenergy, a l company in Garden City on Sept. 25 remains at large.

Police say the suspect in the shooting Sang Ho Kim was angry over what police believe to be a business deal gone bad. Zachariah Yong Jae Shin, 25, of Whitestone, Queens was fatally shot. John Hyng Choi was seriously injured.

Locust Valley Deli Worker Arrested After Receiving 2 Kilos of Cocaine

A Forest Avenue Grocery worker was arrested in Locust Valley following receipt of a cigar box full of cocaine Thursday, say Nassau Police.

Ariel Rodriguez, 31, of Bethpage allegedly received a package of cigars containing approximately two kilos of cocaine wrapped inside while working at the deli located on 384 Forest Avenue. After signing for the package, Rodriguez was placed under arrest without incident.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation was conducted by Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad, New York City Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Agency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Postal Service.

Rodriguez is charged with first degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

East Norwich Woman's Body Found in Bay Shore

Police have identified a woman's body found in a Bay Shore apartment complex as that of Saundra Simonee, 59, of East Norwich. 

Simonee's body was found Friday behind a dumpster in The Birches apartment complex parking lot wrapped in a pink sheet. 

Simonee had been missing since early last week, sources close to the family said. Two small black crosses were mounted at the entryway of the Simonee home on Whitney Avenue Sunday.

Police have not determined a cause of death or named any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad, at (631) 852-6392, or place an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS.

Police: Sisters Struck in Hit-and-Run

Two woman – 54-year-old twins – were hospitalized after being struck in a hit-and-run Saturday evening in Great Neck, Nassau County Police said. 

The victims, who police did not identify, were walking along the north side of Arrandale Road at 6:20 p.m. when they were struck. 

Police said the vehicle, also unidentified, was travelling westbound on Arrandale Road and then fled the scene without stopping.  

The sisters were transported to an area hospital, where one was listed in critical condition with head trauma and internal injuries. The other suffered from non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are looking for the public’s help with identifying the vehicle involved in this incident and request anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
