Garden City

Garden City officers helped U.S. marshals and the Suffolk County Police Department in apprehending and arresting a 26-year-old Kings Park man for a that occurred in Brentwood on June 5.
Police conducted a routine truck inspection on June 23, issued 61 tickets for various traffic and safety violations and took two trucks out of service.

Glen Cove
was arrested on Thursday and charged with stealing over $250,000 in cars and cash. Joseph Simeone, 71, of Torrington, Conn. – owner of Simeone Classic Cars in Glen Cove – faces up to 15 years for second degree grand larceny after he allegedly stole three 1930's-era cars from a customer, sold them and kept the profits, said Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice.
Massapequa
Vandals scrawled racist and anti-Semitic graffiti at the at the Sunrise Mall, police said.
A van driver found swastikas painted on the side of the van and on a windshield, an employee at the auto shop said. The van was parked in the lot outside the business overnight, the employee said.
Racist graffiti, the numbers "666" and the letters "KKK" were also scrawled on a banner hanging in the parking lot.
Lynbrook
Victor Tosner was arrested on charges of harassing priests and parishioners at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook.
Bethpage
A Bethpage pediatrician was indicted on charges that he sexually abused and assaulted girls as young as 11years old under the guise of medical examinations, and then secretly videotaped and photographed them. The 60-count indictment, filed with the Nassau County Court on Monday, charges Dr. Rakesh Punn, 53, with four counts of criminal sale of a prescription for a controlled substance, 28 counts of second-degree assault, 10 counts of first-degree sexual abuse, three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child, six counts of unlawful surveillance, seven counts of fraudulently obtaining a signature, and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Syosset
Two arrests in Syosset and one in Woodbury were reported recently:
Sediq Ghafoori, 31, was arrested early Wednesday morning after Nassau police said he stole a 2010 Nissan from a Shell Gas station in Jericho. Police also allege the man later stole from the store in Syosset.
On June 25, Bobby Carter, 49, was arrested and charged with possession of a forged instrument on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.
