Murder-Suicide Reported in Glen Head

Two Glen Head residents were found dead from stab wounds in a Cedar Swamp Road apartment.

A couple was found dead inside their home in Glen Head on Cedar Swamp Road early Monday, Nassau Police detectives said.

A 33-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds, and a 35-year-old man was stabbed once, according to the Homicide Squad. The grisly incident occurred at 12:19 a.m., police said.

After further investigation, it was determined the man killed the woman, and then turned on himself.

Police responded to the scene after a friend of the couple was unable to reach them. A key was obtained from their landlord and, upon entering the apartment, cops found both dead.

The bodies were taken to the medical examiners office and the investigation is still ongoing.

Nassau County Police were unable to release any more details at this time.
