Driver Slams Car into Sea Cliff Avenue Store

Glen Cove EMS: One person hospitalized for non life-threatening injuries.

Correction: Glen Cove EMS confirmed the driver - and only occupant - of the car was a woman. She was taken to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries. Our original reporting stated it was a man.

A woman was hurt after a single-car accident on Sea Cliff Avenue early Tuesday, said.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., the driver reportedly crashed her car into at 167 Sea Cliff Avenue, near the intersection of Glen Cove and Sea Cliff Avenues, said EMS First Assistant Chief Matt Venturino.

The woman was treated for non life-threatening injuries at the scene, according to Venturino, who responded to the accident, along with Glen Cove and officials.

She was then transported to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, said police.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Glen Cove police.
