UPDATED: Three Pedestrians Struck Crossing Street

Vehicle hits adult and two children crossing Glen Cove Ave. Wednesday.

Three people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a car Wednesday evening at the intersection of Glen Cove Ave. and Morris Ave., according to Glen Cove EMS.

A 23-year-old female, a 12-year-old female and a 6-year-old male, all related, were taken to Winthrop University Hospital by Glen Cove EMS and a Sea Cliff Fire Department ambulance, which stopped to help as it was returning home from another call, said Glen Cove EMS chief Matt Venturino.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. The car's driver stopped after hitting the three. That person was not injured.

The Glen Cove Police Department and the Glen Cove Auxiliary Police also responded.
