Firefighter Treated After Landing Rd. House Fire

Multiple neighboring departments respond to Saturday blaze.

One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation Saturday after multiple fire departments responded to a house fire at the corner of Landing Rd. and Rose Ave. 

The fire happened at 12:15 p.m. and burned the rear of the house.

Glen Cove EMS set up a rehab area at the scene to evaluate and treat firefighters for any injuries, according to EMS Chief Matt Venturino. The firefighter treated for smoke inhalation was sent to Glen Cove Hospital and later released.

All occupants of the house escaped safely, he reported.

The Sea Cliff Fire Department, Glenwood Fire Company, Locust Valley Fire Department, Roslyn Fire Companies, East Norwich Fire Department and the Jericho Fire Department each responded to the blaze.

The fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshall's Office.
