Juveniles Arrested for Middle School Break-In
Four juveniles have been charged with burglary (third degree), according to City of Glen Cove Police.
The arrested four, 14 year-old Glen Cove residents for breaking into early Sunday.
Officers Brian Glennon and Christopher Morra responded, investigating an alarm set off at the school, according to Lt. Tom Fitzpatrick.
"After searching the area, the officers noticed four figures walking in the field behind the school carrying items," said Fitzpatrick. "As the officers approached, the suspects all ran in different directions."

Additional officers assisted in the foot chases, which took them over fences and through backyards. The suspects were finally caught behind the school, scattered from the field to Woolsey Avenue and Appletree Lane. Another suspect turned himself in about an hour later.
Stolen school property included lacrosse sticks, basketballs and stereo speakers. The suspects were held overnight at the juvenile detention facility in Westbury, NY.
