GCPD: Active Presence This Holiday Weekend
DWI Patrol will be busy in Glen Cove for July 4 celebrations.
Glen Cove Police says it will have increased DWI enforcement for the entire July 4 weekend.
“We hope everyone has a great Fourth of July weekend, but think twice before drinking and getting behind the wheel this holiday weekend, and really every weekend,” said Det. Lt. John Nagle.
The stepped-up enforcement in Glen Cove coincides with city's firework celebration on Thursday at Morgan Park at 9:15 p.m., and the Sea Faire Festival on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announced Tuesday that through its “STOP-DWI” program, the county will allocate additional police officers to conduct extensive DWI/BWI (boating while intoxicated) enforcement initiatives this week.
