Glen Cove Police have charged three men with having more than 43 pounds of marijuana in their car.
Det. Lt. John Nagle and Det. Brian Glennon stopped a car on Brewster Street just before 4 p.m. on Friday. Nassau County K-9 units were called to assist and the discovery was made inside the vehicle, police said.
The three men charged were not immediately identified. Police said they were residents of Mount Vernon, The Bronx and Jamaica, Queens.
Police said marijuana has a street value between $50,000- $60,000. Police also recovered more than $2,000 in cash from the defendants.
The three men were scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday.
