A Glen Cove man faces burglary charges after Nassau County Police said he broke into an Oyster Bay home, stole jewelry, and sold them to a Hicksville jeweler.

Cops said John Mullaly, 30, broke into a Hill Drive home in Oyster Bay April 30 and took various pieces of jewelry.

An investigation led police to Prestige Jewelers in Hicksville Thursday. Mullaly had apparently sold the jewelers several pieces he took in the Oyster Bay burglary, cops said.

Plainclothes officers found Mullaly outside his home and arrested him without incident, cops said. At the time of the arrest, Mullaly admitted his involvement in the burglary, police reported.

Mullaly is charged with second-degree burglary and will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
