Glen Cove Man Charged With Unemployment Fraud
Gregory Diaz, 45, arrested Wednesday following investigation into collection of unemployment benefits in 2009.
Gregory Diaz, 45, of Glen Cove was arrested at his home Wednesday and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony, following an investigation into unemployment benefits he collected in 2009, according to a New York State Police report.
Diaz is accused of unlawfully collecting $8,855 that year, according to police.
The case was investigated by the state police after it was referred by the New York State Department of Labor.

Troopers and investigators from the State Police Valley Stream station arrested Diaz at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday. He was held at Nassau County First District Court for his arraignment, police said.
