Human Remains Found in Lattingtown

Police are asking for help identifying victim of "undetermined homicide."

The skeletal remains of a person were found in Lattingtown Monday, and police are asking for the public's help in identifying the body.

A female walking her dog in the sand at the end of Sheep Lane at 3 p.m. found the remains of what is believed to be a female about 20-30 years old, Nassau County Police said.

The Homicide Squad called the case an undetermined homicide.

A gold necklace with a pig charm was recovered at the scene.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the necklace or has any information to
contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or the Homicide Squad at 573-7789. All callers will remain anonymous.

So weird. The week before I was walking the dogs half a mile away at the beach. They brought me into tall weeds and I found a pit that the police indicated was nothing. It looked like a grave.
